Quick Fix #2: Affordable Art

In light of reusing and being green, I dug up some old frames and sprayed them black (of course). Next, I just photocopied pictures out of my Newport Mansions book and framed them.

This corner of my apartment is starting to come together. I have to go out and buy a full-length mirror today at Kirklands to finish yesterday's project and will report back later.

Quick Fixes

I'm officially on a 3-week vacation which means 3 uninterrupted weeks of PROJECTS! Today I was working on dressing up a pedestal table I got from Target months ago.

I had a few lamps lying around the hosue so I thought I'd throw one up there. First, I tried this one. I bought this a while ago have have been trying to convince myself that I like it ever since. 

First it was white, then I decided there needed to be more contrast with the wall so out came the black spray paint.....eh, I still hate this lamp. Not my style.

Then, I remembered this old lamp I had in the bedroom. I stole the lampshade from the lamp above-better.

Next, I'm going to get a full-length mirror from Kirklands, spray it gold, and hang it from the wall with black grosgrain ribbon. (But that can wait until tomorrow-the Pats are on in 45 min!)

Christmas already???
